HANDS OF GRACE is in need of crackers, sliced white bread, cookies, jam/jelly (except grape), coffee (12oz. size), juice bottles (except grape), flour, sugar, oil, vinegar, pasta, toothpaste, and bar soap.  Thank you.

ALTAR GUILD…is in need of volunteers to care for the Lord’s altar by setting up Holy Communion before worship and cleaning the communion ware after worship.  Training is provided.  Please contact Cynthia Boyle or Sally Wabrek if you are interested in serving as an individual, a couple, or a family.

SATURDAY, APRIL 7TH (the Saturday after Easter), 1pm:  Easter Celebration Visits to our In-Home Saints!  Two groups will go forth with joy and each driver will have a map including addresses and order of stops.  We will read the account of Easter from the Bible and sing  a few  Resurrection hymns at each stop. Children, teens and grandchildren are so welcome!  Let Cheryl Lowman know if you are coming or just show up!  Cheryl.cassady@yahoo.com

 Festival Choir Rehearsals for Lent and Holy Week singing continue on Sundays from 9:10 – 9:30am or at 12pm.  Additional rehearsal time is on Wednesdays after the Lenten Service.  Please see Ruth Yeadon if you have any questions.

ALTAR GUILD CLEANING DAY is Saturday, March 24th, 9:00am. We will be cleaning the sanctuary and the Children’s room in the back as well.  Coffee, donuts, and cleaning supplies will be provided, please bring a bucket and gloves.  If you would like to complete a specific task at a different time, please see me.  Thank you,  Cynthia Boyle

IF YOU would like to make a donation for an Easter Flower, please give your dedication and donation to Cynthia Boyle, Sally Wabrek, or leave it in an envelope on the secretary’s desk by next Sunday,  March 25th .  Donations are used to purchase wafers, wine, juice, Communion vessels, paper towels, dish soap, and other supplies. Checks are to be made out to “St. Paul’s Altar Guild.”  Thank you!

 Sunday Morning Bible Study

“Who am I? What am I doing here?”

All are welcome to gather for this six week Bible study that will examine the nature and role of man. It will include short video segments by Dr. Joel Biermann, professor at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, as well as discussion around God’s Word and the video presentations. This study will challenge modern notions that question the primacy of God’s authority and put into sharp perspective how our lives are really God’s lives, and we are to live as His creatures.

This week: “Worldviews Collide” 

St. Paul’s Lenten Journey 2018

This yearly 40 day journey of reflection and contemplation enables us to pause and reflect on our sins, our need for a Savior, and the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Throughout the six Wednesdays of Lent this year (Feb 14 – March 21), I invite you to join with your church family in worship as we look to the book of Psalms to answer questions like these:

  • Is Jesus there in the Psalms?
  • Did Jesus pray the Psalms?
  • How does praying the Psalms strengthen us to follow the words of the Savior, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23

LAST Lenten Dinner… Come enjoy food and fellowship at 6pm on Wednesday night!  Soup, salad, bread, dessert and drinks will be provided.  Also peanut butter and jelly for sandwiches. Come as you are – no need to bring anything – just join with the church family for this meal together before Lenten worship at 7pm.  If you would like to provide soup or dessert, please write your name on the sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex. 

Daily Reading of the Psalms… As our Lenten journey continues, I encourage you to spend some time each day in contemplative reflection, reading through all 150 of the Psalms, together with your church family, over these 40 days.  Bookmarks with all 40 days of Psalms readings are available on the table in the Narthex.  Look also for your daily email with the Psalm reading, prayer and hymn verse.  ~ Pastor Manor

Holy Week 2018

Maundy Thursday Worship, March 29 ~ 7:00 pm ~ With Holy Communion                                                         

Good Friday Worship, March 30 ~ 12:00 pm & 7:00 pm ~ Midday and Evening Tenebrae services are different

Easter Celebration,  April 1 ~ Worship at 8:00 am & 10:45 am.  Fellowship potluck breakfast ~ between services.  Easter egg hunt for the kids at 10:00 am.

The church family and guests are invited to share in a fellowship potluck breakfast between the two worship services.

All are welcome – please bring your families, friends, and neighbors! We simply look forward to this time of fellowship, and the fun of an Easter egg hunt for the kids.  If you would like to bring a potluck item to share, please do so. 

Monday Night Bible Study and all Wednesday Night Activities WILL NOT take place the week after Easter.

Confirmation Class will meet Tuesday, April 3rd.
