<<<Vacation Bible School at St. Paul’s! >>>  Monday, July 9th – Friday, July 13th 9am – 11:45am.  At VBS this year, strap on your life jacket and get ready to be swept away by God’s promises in Jesus on this rip-roaring river ride with Splash Canyon: God’s Promise on Life’s Wild Ride. Come along as we sing fun songs, do crazy crafts, eat yummy snacks, play awesome games, and more! Registration for participants and volunteers is at www.StPaulsNewHartford.org.

PLEASE NOTIFY Cheryl Lowman at cheryl.cassady@yahoo.com as soon as possible if you have been trained to use our church defibrillator located to the right as you exit the narthex.  Per our recent Usher’s meeting, the idea of a handy list of those trained was suggested.  If you are trained and are willing, we would love to put your name on this very important list.  Thank-you very much!

PLEASE CHECK your church mailbox.

Wednesday Night Worship and Prayer Ministry…will take a break from July 4th – 25th. We will resume on Wednesday, August 1st. This break will provide an opportunity for rest for those currently participating and for re-engagement for new people to jump in as well. It will also allow the leaders to have the same opportunities to be refreshed and renewed with vigor when these activities resume. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Manor or the Board of Elders.

REMINDER: Sewing Circle will meet Thursday, July 19th, at 7:00pm

YOUNG LADIES AND MENTORS GROUP Thursday, July 19th, 6:30pm – 8:00pm.  All preteen through college age young ladies and all ladies of St. Paul’s are welcome to join us at our first get together!  Due to scheduling situations, this time ONLY, we will meet the same evening as the Sewing Circle.  The group idea and vision came from our very own Emily Jury!  We will meet in the Lower Fellowship Room and share thoughts of how now to proceed and we will also have some fun!  Please see Emily Jury or Cheryl Lowman if you would like more information.  We are overjoyed with excitement to begin this new adventure and seek to grow in Christ together as we go!

YOUNG FAMILIES ICE CREAM SOCIAL Sunday, July 22nd,  2:00pm – 4:00pm.  All families with children living at home are welcome to come together and share a relaxed time of fellowship on our church lower lawn!  There will be face painting, a few games, a couple tents for shade, and lots of ice cream with toppings, and cold beverages!  Our brand new Ad Hoc Fellowship Committee will be hosting this special time!   We will meet in the Lower Fellowship Room in case of rain.  The families whose children attend Vacation Bible School who do not have a home church will also be invited!  We look forward to it with great joy and anticipation!

THANK YOU for your Mite Box donations!  $139.83 was received and sent to the LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League) of the New England District. Please continue to use your Mite Box and place it in the large box in the narthex.  For more information on the LWML, please see the notice on the board in the coffee hour area. Thank you, Leslie Denton

All are welcome for a Pizza & Packing Party of hygiene items on Friday, July 13, 5:30pm, at the church.  Thank you for all the donations!  To God be the Glory!   We will assemble all the donated items to be distributed to local veterans and their families. This distribution will take place through South Park Inn in Hartford and the Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing in Waterbury.  If you have any questions regarding donations, please speak to Deb Burdick.  Please rsvp to Pastor Mongeau at kevin_mongeau@yahoo.com or Denise at deyoreo@gmail.com if you plan to come for pizza. Thank you, St. Paul’s Mission Board

STEWARSHIP BOARD has an Occupations Bulletin Board in the hallway leading to the lower fellowship room displaying business cards, flyers or typed information for our members who are self-employed or business owners.  Please leave your cards, flyers, printed information in Janice’s office and we will post the information on the board.  This is one more way to connect with our church family and, if needed, ask advice or hire for needed services they provide.

Friendship Ablaze! Beginning next Sunday, you’re all invited to be a part of a 4 week series called Friendship Ablaze! Sunday mornings will include a series of worship services and instructional sermons that empower God’s people to invite their friends to meet their best friend, Jesus! We will also have a series of Bible studies that share practical ways for you to continue to grow in your efforts to connect people to Jesus in your daily lives and friendships. Friendship Sunday will be the last week of the series at our worship and picnic at Brodie Park on August 5th.  On that day, everyone is encouraged to invite a friend, especially those without a church home or a relationship with Jesus, to join you for the special worship service and picnic. I invite, encourage, and challenge you all to be a part of Friendship Ablaze!

July 15th: “Friendship Ablaze!”

July 22nd: “Friendship Fever – Catch It!”

July 29th: “Friendship in Action – Doing the Ask!”

DID YOU KNOW that our events and notices are posted on our website, www.stpaulsnewhartford.org?

PAUL’S WORSHIP AND PICNIC at Brodie Park on Sunday, August 5th! Our combined Friendship Sunday Summer Worship service begins at Brodie Park at 10:00am.  Picnic and games follow!  What a super opportunity this is to invite neighbors and friends, especially those who do not have a church home yet. However, the most important person to attend is YOU, your family, your children and grandchildren. We are looking forward to this unique and special time of Christian fellowship!  Please let Cheryl Lowman know if you will be attending and whether you would like to bring a side dish or dessert to share!  Hamburgers, hot dogs, and beverages will be provided!  To rsvp email Cheryl at cheryl.cassady@yahoo.com . Let’s make some good old fashioned summer worship and picnic memories together!  Can’t wait to see you there!

MONDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY will not meet in August.
