HANDS OF GRACE is unable to get some of their basic food needs from Connecticut Food Bank at this time.  Any donation is appreciated but they are in the greatest need of cereal (healthier kinds) and soup. Thank you!  

LADIES BIBLE STUDY, Monday, September 23rd, 1:00 – 2:15pm.  Come and be part of a brand new Bible Study year as we look into God’s Word together!  We are beginning a study on “Balance”.  Judy Byrne and Cheryl Lowman alternate months of facilitating and they are really looking forward to new study year!  As always, newcomers, friends and neighbors are always welcome! 

New England District LWML Fall Retreat:  This Retreat is a time of fun and fellowship with guest speakers!  It is not a decision making business meeting as was necessary in the Spring Rally. The Retreat will take place on Friday, November 1st to Saturday, November 2nd, at the Double Tree Hartford, 16 Ella Grasso Turnpike, in Windsor Locks, CT.  Please contact Cheryl Lowman at cheryl.cassady@yahoo.com. if you are looking for a roommate/carpool situation to attend both days.  Also, if you would like to attend on Saturday only; we are hoping to arrange for carpools from the church parking lot.  This Retreat will bring refreshment for our souls, boost our spiritual growth in Christ and allow us to be part of the LWML mission focus.   

Hands of Grace Fall Tag Sale. September 28th, 9:00am – 2:00pm,

  • Clothing Clearance for all ages
  • Bake sale hosted by Hands of Grace Outdoors boys

Baked goods are needed and may be brought to Hands of Grace the morning of the tag sale.   Tell a friend and come support Hands of Grace!

Youth Movie Day!…Sunday, September 29th, 2:00pm.  All junior high and high school youth are invited to bring a friend – bring a snack to share – bring your favorite pillow and blanket if you’d like! Hope to see you all! See Pastor Manor with any questions!

HANDS OF GRACE OUTDOORS will have a troop camping event this weekend at the Old Newgate Coon Club in Norfolk.  We will be fishing, learning firearms safety, and range shooting.  If anyone knows of a young man between the ages of 10 and 17, who think they may benefit from our program, please contact me at weeksoutdoors@att.net. OCTOBER …is Operation Christmas Child Shoebox month! Our goal is 100 boxes! More information coming soon!

Midweek Worship…is currently journeying through the book of “James: A Manual for Maturity”. All are welcome this Wednesday at 7:00 pm for worship and Holy Communion as we hear from James 2 – Workings of the Faith.

Midweek Bible Study…begins a new topic of study this Tuesday night at 7:00 pm. Whether a new Bible study student or a seasoned studier of God’s Word, all are welcome to explore the truths of Scripture together!
