P If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

C But if we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

P Let us then confess our sins to God our Father.

C Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve Your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.

Announcements

For many years St. Paul’s has helped individuals that are in financial hardship through the Pastor’s benevolence fund. This fund has been used to discretely help people with urgent needs when other resources are not available. Though we can offer anyone compassion through Hands of Grace, the Pastor’s discretionary fund can reach out in Jesus’ love to places that Hands of Grace cannot. Currently the benevolence fund is quite low. If you are able, please consider a donation to this fund outside of your regular offerings to the church. The Word of God tells us; 1 John 3:17 But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? And again 2 Corinthians 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

I pray that you may consider a contribution to this fund so St. Paul’s can continue to help others in Jesus’ name.
