Notices for October 20, 2024

HANDS OF GRACE is in need of hand towels, coffee, men’s shampoo, toothpaste, and Dove bar soap.  Thank you!

ALL SAINTS DAY will be Sunday, November 3rd. During the Divine Service, Pastor Mandile will read aloud the names of Christians who have died in the faith this past year (since last All Saints Day). Please reach out to Pastor Mandile with the names of loved ones you would like included. This All Saints Day tradition is a way to celebrate our loved ones who have finished the race and are no longer suffering with us, the Church militant. They live! We give thanks to God for all the faithfully departed who have joined the ranks of the Church triumphant and now rest from their labors.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL MATERIALS: This year’s focus for Sunday School, Confirmation Class, and our whole congregation is Bible reading at home. I encourage you to drink God’s Word in with delight on a daily basis. Two resources are available to help you toward this goal: Reading Through the Whole Bible with Pastor (a two-year Bible reading plan) and Congregation at Prayer (follows the daily lectionary in the hymnal, LSB 299-304). Both of these resources are available every week in the wall boxes in the narthex. They are on your right as you exit the sanctuary.
